Maghull Community Enterprises / Maghull Town Council Community/Business Development Coordinator
 Purpose of the role
Maghull Community Enterprises in collaboration with Maghull Town Council are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic community/business development coordinator to take us to the next stage of our development. The role has three interlinked elements that form the core of our community development strategy. The person appointed will coordinate and develop the activities associated with the three themes in collaboration with MTC and other local stakeholders.
Supporting local people through skills development, training and employment experience
This element will build on our existing Maghull Community radio initiative and the forthcoming quarterly magazine and extend the range of activities to provide training, development and work experience opportunities.
Supporting local businesses and developing enterprise
This element will build on our successful and ongoing business incubator (Emporium) and explore ways to support enterprise development, including the establishment of a new Maghull Business Forum, to bring agencies together in one place to provide advice/support for business and to explore the potential for multi modal trading by supporting access to internet on-line support for SMEs to reduce digital exclusion.
Supporting and developing community based services across Maghull
Work with the voluntary, community and faith sector and other community stakeholders to support their work and ensure a joined up approach to local service delivery based on a community needs analysis (this will be done in partnership with Maghull Town Council).
Oversee the development and management of a one stop shop for community information and support; The Maghull Hub.
In the first instance the post will be funded for 12 months. Planning for sustainability includes seeking and bidding for additional funding
